Linda Edna Cardellini's parents include businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). She was born in Redwood City in California. She is of Italian (from her paternal grandpa), Irish (from her mother), German, English and Scottish origins. Linda was the youngest child of four in San Francisco Bay, California. In her tenth year she became fascinated by acting, when she performed in school plays. She also continued doing school plays and performing in community theatre. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. She had to choose from New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and television after she graduated. After graduating, she had to make a decision on whether to pursue film and television in Los Angeles. Linda performed her first big character on Bone Chillers, a 1996 TV show. Freaks and Geeks was the character that led to her breakthrough. She portrayed the academic Decathlete Lindsay Weir on the celebrated show, which was awarded the Emmy Award in the Category of Outstanding Casting for the Comedy Series

Lily James is a stage name for Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson, an English actress who was born on 5 April 1989. She began her career as an actress in British actress in Just William (2010), a British series on British television. Cinderella (2015) became her first film following the time she portrayed Lady Rose MacClare (2012-2015) in Downton Abbey, a time-based drama. James was later cast as the role of Countess Natasha Rostova in the television adaptation of War & Peace (2016) and starred in several films. These included the action-packed film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), and musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go again (2018) and Yesterday and Yesterday in 2019. The actress was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award in 2022 to play Pamela Anderson, the star of Pam & Tommy.
