Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. She won the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her father was an actor as well as her mother a violinist. Awarded the Best Female Actor Award in 2000 for the Mangalia Gala for Young Actors. She was honoured"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. She taught for four years in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria is a Romanian actress who was born on the 01st of April 1978, Iasi Romania. A performer from Romanian origin, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen through the Canadian-British TV drama Sex Traffic for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Apart from her stellar performance in her maiden film, she is remembered for role in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 weeks as well as 2 Days which won her several laurels such as the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 days (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) produced by Cristian Mungiu. The film received the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a major part of her career. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca had roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well as the Romanian film Boogie. In the feature film Fury (2014) the actress played Irma, a German woman who was Emma's aunt.
